Class of 2016
TeAMS and the Technion Israeli medical program joined forces for Tu B’Shvat tree planting this year. We planted Oak, Almond, Pistachio, Carob and other trees in the Beit Keshet Forest on the eastern slopes of the mountains of Nazareth. The beautiful views of the Jezreel Valley, fresh air, and beautiful weather were a welcome break after a long week of studying. The students enjoyed eating dried fruits and nuts, as is the custom on Tu B’Shvat. After eating, tree planting, and hearing about the forest’s history, the group hiked back to the bus through a wonderful forest trail. The event was a great success and I hope we can repeat it in subsequent years. Allen Pimienta TeAMS Volunteering Coordinator Class of 2016 Comments are closed.
